GX-270 & GX-280
These machines where manufactured with a bad batch of capacitors. The Nichicon, HN(M) capacitors fail early and usually bulge and leak brownish electrolytic liquid that quickly hardens to a crusty mess. Usually the machine will not power on or it may constantly freeze up. 99% of the time replacing these capacitors with Rubycon caps will get the machine back up and running and will last for a long time. There doesn’t seem to be a cooling issue with these machines and I have never seen one fail again after a recap.
